The beginning of our previews begin with the Women's Open division.
Pool A features the defending open champions Illinois. The road to defend their open title begins in pool play with Kennesaw State, a newcomer to the tournament, along with 2010 Championship Consolation Champion Arizona State and USC who also competed in the open tournament last year.
Pool B features 2010 open finalist Colorado "Black". They will open up against Salt Lake Community College a team returning to play in the open tournament again. Joining them will be 2009 open competitor Middle Tennessee State and 2010 open quarterfinalist Northeastern.
Pool C features all 4 teams who competed in last year's open tournament including 2010 open semifinalist Oregon. They open up against SUNY Cortland. Open quarterfinalist James Madison will open with Vanderbilt.
Pool D features the other 2010 open semifinalist Missouri who will open play against Northern Arizona who also competed in open last year. California, championship consolation quarterfinalist in 2010, will take on Villanova, also returning from last year.
Will all final four teams make it again this year? Will a new champion emerge? Will Illinois repeat?
