Men's Championship Preview

One thing for sure in the men's tournament is that nothing is for sure as to who will win. 4 years working the tournament, 4 different winners.

Pool A features 2 teams that will make comebacks after a year absence. 2009 championship consolation quarterfinalist California joins 2009 quarterfinalist Michigan State and 2010 Round of 16 team Navy to battle it out in Pool A.

Pool B has 2010 finalist Missouri hoping to make another run at getting to the final. Championship consolation semifinalist Colorado State and 2009 round of 16 team UCSB will hope to prevent that from happening.

Pool C features all 3 teams who are returning from a one year absence. 2009 championship consolation quarterfinalist Texas State joins 2009 Round of 16 team Ohio State and 2009 quarterfinalist Penn State.

Pool D had our defending national champion Colorado "Gold". Contrary to popular blog belief, they were not undefeated last year (my bad). But they did win the national championship. They are in a tough group with semifinalist Texas and quarterfinalist Cal Poly "A".

Pool E features 2010 quarterfinalist Florida, 2010 round of 16 team Michigan and 2010 open quarterfinalist UCONN.

Pool F has semifinalist Arizona, round of 16 team North Carolina and Indiana who returns for the first time since winning the 2008 national championship.

Pool G features quarterfinalist Northwestern, round of 16 team Texas A&M and 2009 Round of 16 team Georgia.

Pool H has round of 16 team Weber State, championship consolation semifinalist Delaware and championship consolation champion Minnesota.

It promises to be another tough exciting tournament. Will Colorado "Gold" repeat? 23 other men's teams will try and stop that from happening.

It begins...you guessed it...Thursday!
